A Woman Who Reflects the Heart of Jesus

Sunday 10:15 a.m.
Women
Fireside Room
Cindy Grotzke

Elizabeth George has long been a favorite source of encouragement and wisdom for women who hunger to know how God desires for them to live. In her newest release, Elizabeth asks, “Where better can we learn about right character and conduct than Jesus Himself?”

There is much we can learn from this perfect life example: His generosity in caring for the needs of others, the abundance of His kindness and forgiveness even to His enemies, His persistence in watching over His own, and His willingness to give His all even though He had nothing.

Every woman who desires to…

  • skillfully make the most of limited time
  • give freely without expecting anything in return
  • achieve all things in God’s strength and not her own
  • let her light shine and glorify God

…will find a treasure trove of truths and applications that enable her to follow well in the footsteps of Jesus.

The Book of Judges

Room 212
Dave Chanski/Nate Grotzke

The book of Judges describes a time in the life of the nation of Israel between the prophetic leadership of Moses and Joshua and the establishment of the monarcy. During that time, “everyone did what was right in his own eyes” (Judges 17:6). Israel’s sin is overcome only by the wonder of God’s salvation worked through a series of memorable judges, who ultimately point us to Jesus Christ.

James

Sunday 10:15 a.m.
Young Adults
Room 220
Matt Neubert/Pastor Pete Erickson

True faith produces fruit. A faith without action and without life change is ultimately a dead faith. The book of James speaks to the realities of a living faith in Jesus—the kind of roll-up-your-sleeves and get-your-hands-dirty discipleship that is borne out of an authentic relationship with the risen Lord. James writes to believers who know suffering, who’ve faced trials, and who ultimately desire a deep relationship with God. (Product Description)

We will work through James verse-by-verse, challenging followers of Christ to move beyond a private, intellectual knowledge of God and His Word, to a vibrant faith that impacts every square inch of life.

NOTE: The material for this study is readily available upon request, so if you miss a week or if you join late, you will be able to go back, though not necessary, as each session stands on its own.

The book of Romans has been called the “Cathedral of the Christian faith.” Paul describes the power of the Gospel to radically transform a rebellious sinner into a child of God; to break the chains of sins that enslave us; and to shape and fashion us into the righteous image of Christ. If you currently are not attending a Life Group, come join us as we navigate through these life changing truths in our study of the Epistle to the Romans.
